Musical Director, Movement Director, Vocal Arranger

  • Wrote melodies and harmonies for the tour of Virtual Rogues, an original experimental cirque-rock opera performed on deck and in the rigging of the tallship the Amara Zee

  • Taught parts and led musical rehearsals to help the singers prepare their roles for performance

  • Led Movement practices and exercises for physicality and ensemble formation, based in Viewpoints and Chekhov Technique

  • Designed, constructed, and painted the set and stage managed the performances for The Seed of Greed

  • Directed, filmed, and edited Hänsel und Gretel by Humperdinck as a Covid-safe filmed Opera

  • Created the schedule and led production for filming two casts in three locations over 4 weekends

  • Constructed and painted the theatrical set for the staged parts of the film

  • Directed and co-designed full productions for Lee University’s Opera Program: The Mikado by Gilbert and Sullivan (2016), The Consul by Menotti (2018), Suor Angelica by Puccini (2019), and Riders to the Sea by Williams (2020)

  • Created rehearsal schedules and facilitated rehearsals

  • Successfully created full-fledged productions on a low budget and with minimal technical crew

  • Constructed and Painted set pieces and ground cloth and led students in working on set and costumes

CARNIVAL DE RESISTANCE

  • Organization Work: year-long team member in charge of recruiting and preparing Residency performers; produced and facilitated cabaret style performances by local artists occurring over multiple weekends,

  • Stage Direction: Created rehearsal schedules and directed rehearsal for two main productions, ensured cohesive execution of all theatrical elements (performance, location and set, light and sound)

  • Technical Direction: Set Design and Construction; Rigging of hanging elements; coordinated and led groups of volunteers in building and striking

2019 - 2020 | Lexington, KY

AFTERCULTURE THEATRE

Co-Director, Choreography, Costume Design

  • Co-created an original, evening length performance of devised, immersive, dance theatre “Who Holds The Devil”

  • Created rehearsal schedules for 7 cast members with various work and class schedules for a 10 week rehearsal period

  • Planned and co-facilitated rehearsals to devise material, stage and choreograph the entirely movement based show

  • Worked closely with the lighting designer on the integration of technical elements into the performance

  • Handled Costume design and props, worked on the set installations, in particular rigging of hanging elements​

PAM MILLER DOWNTOWN ARTS CENTER

Stage hand, Box Office Staff, Site Supervisor

  • Set-up and strike of modular risers, setting up audience seating, hanging soft goods, technical support to clients and theatre companies

  • Used the Vendini ticketing software for reservations, Box Office sales and nightly reports of cash and credit sales

  • Supervised the 200 seat blackbox theatre during load-in and rehearsals; served as front of house staff during performances and Gallery events

2019 | Brainerd, MN

LAKES AREA MUSIC FESTIVAL

Assistant to the Scenic designer, Set Construction and painting

  • Worked with the set designer on a two person team to build, install, and strike the set for the opera La Belle Hélène

  • Constructed platforms and a raked stage; painted the scenery

2015 + 2017

CARAVAN STAGE COMPANY

Rigger, Sailing Crew, Ship Maintenance, Touring Member/Singer

  • Part of the cast and crew for the 2015 NY Tour of Hacked and the 2017 Gulf coast and B.C. Tour of Nomadic Tempest

  • Led teams in set-up and strike of the truss system attached to the masts of the ship 40 ft off the deck

  • Learned basic rigging, rope access, metal work, set construction, and became comfortable working at heights

  • Responsible for crew safety during travel; instructed new sailing crew on the tall ship Amara Zee

  

FREELANCE THEATRICAL DIRECTOR AND PRODUCER

  • Co-organized and co-created the company TheaterWanderer, a long-distance bicycle tour in 2016 with original songs, narrative, and dancing 

  • Devised and directed an original work with the Rhapsody Collective in New York, NY called play (2015)

  • Assistant Director to John Shepard on the 2014 immersive, promenade-style production of Tamara produced by Quantum Theatre in Pittsburgh, PA

  • Directed and produced site-specific adaptations of published works with Pinnacle Productions in Pittsburgh, PA including: 

    • All New People (2013), Sightings (2013), and Happy (2013) - personally translated from the original German
